Idli chilly

Idli chilly is a quick snack prepared using  left over  Idli ( south indian breakfast)

Preparation time: 5 mins

Cooking time: 10 minutes

Serves: 2

Ingredients:

6 idlis cut into cubes

1/2 medium sized onion, cut into cubes

1/2 capsicum , cut into cubes

3 garlic clooves, finely chopped

1/8  inch ginger finely chopped

2 green chillies finely chopped

1 teaspoon soy sauce

1 teaspoon vinegar

2 tablespoon ketchup

salt to taste

2 tablespoon finely chopped spring onions

( 1 teaspoon chilli sauce can be added for more spice)

Method:

In a broad pan, heat 1 tablespoon oil, add cubed idlis and saute on a medium flame for 3 minutes or till they turn light brown in colour. Put them in a plate and Keep aside.

In the same pan, heat 1 tablespoon oil, add ginger, garlic and saute on medium flame for few seconds. Then add onions , geen chilly and saute for 1 minute. Then add capsicum and saute for 1 minute. Add tomato ketchup, soy sauce, vinegar , salt and saute well for 1 minute. Then add sauted idlis and mix gently. Add 1 tablespoon spring onion and saute gently for 1 minute.

Garnish with remaining spring onions and serve.
