Methi Paratha

Methi Paratha is made using methi / fenugreek leaves . Fenugreek leaves have numerous health benefits (helps in lowering cholesterol and diabetes) . It is also good for our skin and hair. So adding methi leaves to paratha is definitely a healthy option. Same dough can be used to make methi poori too!

we made Crispy Veg Balls as a side dish for methi paratha and it was a big hit! so try it out.

Preparation time : 20 minutes

Cooking time : 15 minutes.

Ingredients :

  1. Methi leaves – 1 bunch
  2. wheat flour / atta – 2 cups
  3. garlic paste – 1/2 teaspoon
  4. chilly powder – 1/2 teaspoon
  5. turmeric powder – a pinch
  6. curd – 2 teaspoon
  7. ajwain – 1/4 teaspoon
  8. salt , oil

Method :

  Step 1: Clean the fresh methi leaves very well. Chop it finely.

 Step 2 : In a mixing bowl , add all the ingredients.Knead it into a dough using  water.Apply oil to the dough and let it rest for 15 minutes.

  Step 3:  Make balls and roll out the paratha.

Step 4: Heat a pan. Place a paratha . After a couple of minutes, flip it over. Apply a little ghee on top. Cook the paratha on both the sides until it is completely done.
