Banana Bread

Have you ever wondered what to do with a bunch of over ripe bananas sitting on the fruit basket ? well, making Banana Bread is one of the ways to make best use of such bananas. Mash the bananas ,add in all the ingredients, mix and bake. That’s how easy it is to make super moist and super delicious Banana bread. Add in pieces of walnut, almond to make it crunchy and nutritious.

Preparation time : 10 minutes

Baking time : 30-35 minutes


  1. Banana – 4 big (mashed)
  2. eggs – 2
  3. brown sugar – 1 cup
  4. oil – 1/2 cup
  5. All purpose flour – 2 cups
  6. soda bicarbonate – 1/2 teaspoon
  7. baking powder – 1/2 teaspoon
  8. walnut, cashew nut, raisins

Method :
Step 1 : Preheat the oven at 180 degrees for 10 minutes. Sieve all-purpose flour , soda bicarbonate and baking powder. Keep it aside.
Step 2 : Beat eggs and bananas in a mixing bowl. Add oil and sugar ; beat again for 4-5 minutes.
Step 3 :Add flour mixture to the above egg-banana mixture along with nuts. Combine very well.
Step 4 : Bake it at 180 degrees for 30-35 minutes.

Note : Instead of 2 cups of all-purpose flour , you can also use 1 cup of wheat flour (atta) and 1 cup of all-purpose flour (maida) to make a healthier version of banana bread.
