Butter masala is usually made with chicken or paneer. Here, we share Egg Butter Masala recipe for all egg lovers! Egg Butter Masala is a rich and delicious gravy in which boiled eggs are dipped and sim cooked in creamy tomato paste. Have it with Rumali Roti or Coin Parota for a perfect meal!
Preparation time : 5 minutes
Cooking time : 30 minutes
- Egg – 5 (boiled)
- cinnamon, cardomom,clove
- butter – 2 tablespoon
- onion – 2 chopped
- Tomato – 3 ,chopped
- ginger-garlic paste – 1/2 teaspoon
- chilli powder – 2 teaspoon
- turmeric powder – 1/4 teaspoon
- cumin seeds – 1 teaspoon
- kasuri methi – 2 teaspoon
- cashew nuts – 6
- cream – 1 tablespoon
Step 1 : Boil the eggs for about 8-10 minutes. let it cool. On the boiled eggs, make 4 slits. Keep it aside.
Step 2: heat 1 tablespoon of butter in a sauce pan. add spices (cinnamon, cardomom,clove).
Step 3 : Add in onion and cumin seeds. Saute until onions turn translucent .
Step 4: Add in tomatoes. again sauté well. add in cashew nuts.
Step 5: Add red chilli powder , turmeric powder and salt. Combine well.
Step 6: When the tomatoes are well cooked, turn off the flame. Once the masala is cooled, grind it to a fine paste.
Step 7 : Again, heat 1 tablespoon of butter in the same sauce pan. add ginger-garlic paste. Saute until raw smell goes.
Step 8: Then add the ground paste. add 1/4 cup of water and combine well.
Step 9: Dip the boiled eggs into the gravy . Mix gently. Cover and cook on medium- low flame for about 5 minutes.
Step 10 : Finally add cream and kasuri methi .Combine well and remove from the flame.
