Sweet Corn Soup is one of the dishes that can be seen in almost all menu books. Kids love to have it . Adults enjoy it alike! Here is how it can be easily made at home.

Cooking time : 20 minutes
Serves – 3
- Sweet corn (frozen/tinned) – 120 gm (1/4 tin)
- vegetable stock – 1 cube
- cornflour – 1 tablespoon
- milk – 1/4 cup
- water – 3 cups
- egg – 1
- pepper, salt
Step 1 : Take a sauce pan .Boil 3 cups of water in it. when it is boiled, put vegetable stock cube. Mix well until the cube dissolves completely.
Step 2 : Add sweet corn . Stir gently for a couple of minutes
Step 3 : Take 1/4 cup water, add in cornflour and mix well. Pour this to the sauce pan. Stir well. Cover and sim. Let it boil for 5-7 minutes
Step 4 : Pour in milk. Combine well.Stir for a couple of minutes
Step 5 : Break open egg into a bowl, beat it well. Pour it on to the sauce pan, slowly and stirring continuously .
Remove from flame. Season it with salt and pepper. Serve it hot .
Note : Shredded chicken pieces can be added before adding milk to make it ‘sweet corn chicken soup ‘ . Chicken stock cube can also be used instead of vegetable stock cube.
