Creamy mushroom burger

A simple yet delicious mushroom burger recipe, which is best suitable for parties at home. The mushroom filling is prepared first, then assembled inside the burger, then baked for few minutes to get a cheesy creamy mushroom burger.

Cooking time : 10 minutes + 5 minutes

Serves : 6

Ingredients :

Burger buns- 6

Mushrooms – 300 gms, thinly sliced

Onion – 1 medium, thinly sliced

Garlic – 4 cloves, finely chopped

Pepper powder – 1 teaspon

Chilli flakes – 1 teaspoon

Salt – to taste

Cooking cream – 4 tablespoons

Sumac – 1/2 teaspoon ( gives lovely color as well as tangy taste, completely optional )

Mozarella cheese – as per your taste

Olives – a handful ( black/ green – sliced)

Spring onion/ parsley – for garnish

Method :

In a pan, heat a teaspoon of olive oil ( preferred) , add onion and garlic and saute for minute.

Then add mushrooms, salt, pepper, chilli flakes, sauté and let it cook for 5 minutes.

Next add cream, sumac and mix well. switch of the flame. Filling is ready.

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Take the half of the burger buns and arrange in the baking dish.

Place the filling over these buns, sprinkle some cheese, olives, spring onion.  Cover it with remaining half of the buns. Sprinkle some more cheese, olives and spring onions.

Bake it for 5 minutes or till cheese melts.

Cheesy creamy mushroom burgers are ready to eat.  Serve it with some hot sauce/ chilly flakes for extra spicy burgers.
