This is a south Indian dish which I learned to prepare from my sister. A very easy recipe to prepare and children love it.

Cooking time : 30 minutes
Serves : 3
For marinating prawn:
- 750 grams of prawn
- 1/2 tablespoon of chilly powder
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- juice of half a lime
- salt to taste
- 2 and 1/2 cup of rice
- 5 cups (double the amount of rice) of coconut milk
- whole garam masala
- slices of 1/2 onion
- coriander leaves to garnish
Boil the prawns with a little water. Cook until the prawns are done and the water is dried up. Add a little oil and stir fry for 2 minutes. Keep it aside.
To prepare rice :- Add 2-3 tablespoon of ghee to a pan. saute onion until it becomes transparent. Add garam masala. Pour in coconut milk and bring it to boil. Add rice and salt.
Once the rice is cooked, add fried prawns and mix it well.
Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot
