Moong sprouts/ green gram sprouts salad

Moong sprout salad is a very easy, tasty and healthy salad.

Preparation time: 5 minutes

Cooking time: 5 minutes

Serves: 2

Ingredients:

1 cup sprouted moong / green gram

1/2 small sized onion, finely chopped

1 cup of  mixed carrot and cucumber, chopped

1/4 teaspoon pepper

1/4 teaspoon chaat masala

Salt as per taste

Few drops of lime juice

Method:

Steam the moong sprouts for 3 to 4  minutes and  keep it in a bowl. To this add onion, carrot, cucumber, salt, pepper powder, chat masala powder,  little lemon juice and mix well.

Crunchy moong sprout salad is ready to serve.

Tips:

Moong sprouts can be cooked quickly in one pot method. In a 2 litre cooker take 1 tablespoon of water, add moong sprouts and close the lid. Switch on the stove on high heat. After 1 whistle, release the pressure immediately, completely  and then only open the lid. The sprouts will be cooked perfectly. This method takes 3 minutes only.
