Falooda

Falooda is a much loved dessert. This dessert fits in well, be it any occasion ! Here we share, the simplest root form of falooda made using basic ingredients.

Preparation time : 40 minutes

Serves – 2

Ingredients :

  1. jelly (red , yellow) – 1 packet each each
  2. Chia seeds / sabja seeds – 2 tablespoon (soak it in water)
  3. vermicelli – 1/4 cup
  4. rose syrup – 4 tablespoon
  5. milk – 1/2 cup
  6. Vanilla ice cream – 2 scoops

Method :
Step 1 : Prepare jelly as per the instruction in the packet (that is , empty the sachet content into a cup of hot water; once dissolved completely ,add 1 cup of cold water. Place it in refrigerate and let it set. ) Once set , cut it into cube sized pieces.

Step 2 : Boil water . Cook vermicelli in it along with a pinch of salt .Once cooked , drain excess water. keep it aside.

Step 3 : soak chia seeds in water .wait until all the seeds expand.

Step 4: now assemble the falooda . Take a big glass. Add 1.5 tablespoon of chia seeds as first layer.Add vermicelli (2 tablespoon) as second layer. Top it up with strawberry and pineapple jelly pieces. Add 1/4 cup of milk. Place a scoop of icecream on top. Finally pour 2 tablespoons of rose syrup on top.

Step 5 : Repeat the above steps for another glass. Serve immediately.

Note : Nuts can be used to garnish the falooda.
