Salads are always an easy & quick small meal or a side dish we can prepare in small quantity or in bulk for a family get together. In this recipe I have used Sumac spice. I was introduced to this spice in a family get together. I loved its bright red color, also its tangy taste , which gave a different flavor to the salad. This spice is from middle east & its widely used in many salads and dishes.
Preparation time : 5 minutes
Serves : 4
Ingredients :
Cucumber – 1
Carrot – 1
Capsicum – 1
Black & green olives – a handful
coriander leaves – a handful
Strawberries – 5
Pomegranate – a bowl
Note : You can add any vegetables & fruits of your choice.
For dressing :
Olive oil – 2 tablespoons
salt – 1 teaspoon
pepper – 1 teaspoon
Sumac powder – 1 tablespoon
Orange juice – 1
Method :
Mix all dressing ingredients in a bowl. Add chopped veggies & fruits. Mix well & serve.
