Chicken green curry

When you are running short of time and you have to get your dinner ready on the table in another half an hour, go for this recipe.

Preparation time : 10 minutes

Cooking time : 20 minutes

Serves : 3-4

Ingredients :

  1. Chicken – 1 kg
  2. Onion – 3
  3. Tomato – 1 big
  4. ginger-garlic paste – 2 teaspoon
  5. green chilly – 4 ( or according to your spice level )
  6. coriander powder – 2 teaspoon
  7. garam masala powder – 1 teaspoon
  8. turmeric powder – 1/4 teaspoon
  9. coconut milk – 1/2 cup
  10. coriander leaves – to garnish
  11. salt – to taste

 

METHOD :

Step 1: Heat oil in a sauce pan and saute onions until it turns translucent. Then add ginger-garlic paste . Saute and add tomatoes.

Step 2: Grind together green chillies , coriander powder , garam masala powder with little water to a paste. Add this to the above. Saute until raw smell disappears. add turmeric powder. When combined well , add chicken pieces and salt.Add a little water,Cover and cook until chicken is done.

Step 3: Once cooked, add coconut milk . Let it boil. Garnish with coriander leaves.

Serve it hot with roti, ghee rice , kushka etc

Tip : To get extra bit of green color , blend coriander leaves with coconut while preparing coconut milk .
