Carrot Halwa


It is one of the most popular sweet dessert pudding made of minimal ingredients.

Preparation time: 20 minutes

Cooking time :1 hour


1.carrot – 500 gms

2. Milk – 750 ml

3. Ghee – 2 tablespoon

4.sugar – 200 gms

5.Almonds – 15-20

6. Green cardamom powder/elaichi powder – 1 teaspoon


Method :

1.Peel, wash and grate carrots.

2. Heat ghee in a thick bottomed pan.Add grated carrots and cook on a medium heat for about 8-10 minutes until carrots are soft.

3. Add milk and cardamom powder.Bring to a boil and reduce flame.Cook on a low flame until milk is almost reduced.

4. Finally, add sugar and cook until dry, stirring constantly. Garnish with sliced almonds.
