Egg Chilli

Egg Chilli is an indo-chinese dish in which eggs are fried and put in a spicy ,tangy, sweet sauce. It goes well with Vegetable fried rice , Egg Fried RiceCorn Manchurian Rice , Chicken Fried Rice.

Preparation time : 15 minutes

Cook time : 20 minutes

Ingredients :

  1. Egg – 2
  2. Onion – 1 large (finely sliced)
  3. green Capsicum – 1/2 diced
  4. Red capsicum – 1/2 diced
  5. garlic – 2 cloves (finely chopped)
  6. ginger-garlic paste – 1 teaspoon
  7. kabab masala powder – 1 tablespoon (or according to your spice level)
  8. vinegar – 1 teaspoon
  9. soy sauce – 1.5 tablespoon
  10. tomato ketchup – 2 tablespoon
  11.  chilly sauce – 1.5 teaspoon
  12. sugar – 1 teaspoon
  13. salt as required
  14.  spring onion – a few
  15. butter – 1 tablespoon

Method :

  1. Boil eggs for 10 minutes. Let it cool. Remove the shell. Cut each egg into 4 pieces. Marinate it with kabab masala powder , ginger-garlic paste , vinegar .Check for salt.  Deep fry it. Keep it aside.
  2.  Heat butter in a pan .Saute garlic . then add spring onion white and saute. Then put onions and saute till translucent. Add both red and green Capsicum . keep sauting on a medium flame .
  3. Add soy sauce, tomato ketchup, chilly sauce, sugar  and mix well.
  4. Add Fried egg pieces into it. Adjust the salt. Combine well.
  5. Finally, garnish with spring onion leaves.

The delicious Egg Chilli is ready . Serve it hot with Vegetable fried rice
